Initiate – sparkPitches
At pitch events, we bring together key players from academia, the professional world, and the startup scene to collaboratively develop new ideas—regardless of whether the impetus comes from research, the professional world (government, politics, industry), or the startup scene. Even outside of specific events, we provide support in finding suitable partners in academia, provided that concrete ideas already exist.
“The major challenges facing our cities in the future can only be solved through collaboration. That is why Karlsruhe is committed to a close partnership between academia, administration, and the broader community. KIT helps us make scientifically sound decisions for the sustainable and resilient city of tomorrow. At the same time, as a city, we enable KIT to make its research projects even more application-oriented. With KIT spark, a valuable space for experimentation and learning is emerging in the heart of the city. Together, we are shaping the city of the future.”
Dr. Frank Mentrup, Mayor of Karlsruhe
